Skydance Paramount Plans to Remove Nearly 2,000 United States Roles – News

Paramount Skydance will start significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, removing about 2,000 US jobs under a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn under CEO David Ellison.

The layoffs follow the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August worth $8.4bn.

More international job cuts are likely, with the company intending to announce full details via its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Previous updates suggested the company aimed to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by the beginning of next month.

As of December 2024, Paramount had almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 contract workers.

Paramount Skydance has not provided a response on the matter.
